Complex digital evidence. Clear, defensible answers.
Cell phone records, historical cell site analysis, device extractions, GPS and app location data, and vehicle telematics, analyzed independently and explained so a judge or jury can follow. Retained by prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, and civil counsel.
What the data shows, and what it doesn't
Digital records are rarely as precise as they look on a map. Every engagement starts with the same question: what can this evidence reliably support? The answer drives the report, the testimony, and your case strategy.

For civil counselAndrew McDermott
A digital evidence consultant and expert witness who spent 24 years building complex criminal cases from this kind of data, then trained thousands of investigators and prosecutors to do the same.
Andrew McDermott served as a Detective Sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, supervising counterterrorism and deep undercover operations, and later as a federally deputized ATF Task Force Officer in Aurora, Colorado, investigating serial shootings, homicides, and complex gang cases. He went on to lead global training and customer education at LeadsOnline, where he built advanced curricula on call detail records, timing advance, vehicle telematics, device extractions, social media, and digital media evidence.
He knows how these analyses are built, and where they break. That's what he brings to your case, whichever side you're on.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work for both the prosecution and the defense?
Yes. Evidence Integration Consulting accepts retention from prosecutors and criminal defense attorneys, and from plaintiff and defense counsel in civil matters. The analysis and methodology are the same regardless of who retains us.
Can cell phone records show exactly where a phone was?
Usually not. Historical cell site records show which tower and sector handled a phone's activity, which places the phone within that sector's coverage area, not at a precise address. Timing advance, GPS, and app location data can narrow that down, but each source has its own limitations. Overstating what the records show is one of the most common problems in cell site testimony.
Where can you testify?
We're based in Denver, Colorado, and accept engagements nationwide in state and federal matters. Andrew McDermott has been qualified as an expert in four Colorado judicial districts and in Multnomah County, Oregon.
Do you perform mobile device extractions?
Yes. We perform forensic extractions of phones and other mobile devices, scoped to the court order, search warrant, protective order, or owner consent that applies, with documented chain of custody and SHA-256 hash verification. We also analyze and review extractions performed by others.
What should I send to get started?
Start with a short description of the case and the type of digital evidence involved, without privileged details. After a conflict check, we'll ask for the relevant records, such as carrier returns, extraction reports, law enforcement reports, affidavits, or opposing expert reports.
Have a case turning on digital evidence?
Tell us about the matter. We'll run a conflict check and get back to you to discuss next steps.
